You rid me of malice
and wash me clean with truth.
You prepare the soil of my heart.
A seed breaks open,
learning how to live again.
Husk the leaves,
uncover what breathes beneath.
The life that makes its home in my soul,
an unfading delight,
freedom where chains once tightened.
Cleanse me.
Make me new.
I will change my ways, O God,
and You will change my nature.
I was born once of flesh and womb—
now I am born from above.
Your Spirit gives birth to my spirit;
may She never leave me.
Why do so few call upon Your name?
Do they doubt You heal the bound,
the broken, the possessed?
They ask for reward
without surrender.
They pray without laying down their lives,
without leaving their hungers behind.
Their hypocrisy bends unbelieving minds,
keeps them from the harvest.
Doubt conceives weak faith,
never strengthened,
easily swindled by deceivers
who wear holiness like a mask.
Do you not believe obedience is possible?
Do you not believe spirit can overcome flesh?
A reborn spirit—
filled with wisdom and truth,
built from living stones—
white, renamed, restored.
The door stands open.
The keys have been given.
The Kingdom is waiting.
